IMT – CDL has been recognized by the Distance Education Authority (DEB), and University Grants Commission for offering distance education management programs. As an institute, IMT-CDL can provide PG Diploma for two years and one year which will carry DEB recognition.

Two year PGDM

The two-year PGDM course offered by my IMT consists of four semesters.

In the last semester, there are 15 core subjects, 4 optional subjects, and 1 project.

The program is considered equivalent to an MBA.

Young graduates or experienced professionals can opt for this course to develop or improve their management skills.

Structure of the IMT Distance Education PGDM program

PGDM is offered in 4 semesters and the course duration is 2 years.

The first 3 semesters of the program emphasize skills and concepts that play an essential role in key areas of business and management. The fourth semester covers the concepts of the specialization chosen by the student.

The dissertation project and electives must be the specialization chosen by the applicant.

To obtain a postgraduate diploma in the specialization that the student chooses, it is mandatory to complete optional subjects (4) in the specialization subject.

One Year Postgraduate Diploma in Management (Executive)

To be eligible for this program, you should be a graduate of any discipline with 3 years of full-time experience.

One-Year Distance Diploma in Management Specialization area Below:

One Year PG Diploma in Business Administration

This one-year postgraduate diploma program is designed for recent graduates and working professionals with less than 3 years of full-time experience.

However, anyone with a high school diploma can join this program.

unlike the other two programs, no entrance test is required for admission to the one-year PG diploma program.

The program is divided into 2 semesters.

In the second semester, there are 10 basic subjects and 1 project.

IMT accepts admissions twice a year i.e. July and January.

All documents listed below must be verified with original documents by an authorized notary and must have their certificate.

  1. Xerox bachelor’s certificate or mark sheet of the last year of study.
  2. Xerox copy of 10+2 or intermediate certificate.
  3. Xerox copy of high school report card,
  4. 2 recent passport photographs.
  5. Xerox Driving License or Aadhar Card or Passport as proof of identity.
  6. Verification Certificate in case of SC/ST, Defense Personnel. disabled candidates and war widows.

Note: A student must have a work experience certificate if applying for an executive program.

Fee schedule and payment options

You must pay the fee at the beginning of each term. Students who do not pay fees on time may not receive study materials and will not be admitted to exams and classes.

IMT CDL offers 2 payment methods.

Online payment

Students can pay the fees through the IMT website using Net Banking or debit or credit card.

Demand concept

Pay the fees through Demand Draft in favor of IMT CDL, Delhi. DD Courier to IMT CDL Office, New Delhi. Note that IMT only accepts non-refundable DDs.

Fee Concessions/Scholarships

IMT CDL offers special concessions to candidates with SC/ST reservations, disabled students, and war widows.

The maximum concession they give is Rs 4,400 per semester.

The student must provide the necessary documents to prove that he is an eligible candidate for the fee concession.

IMT CDL Marks Evaluation Procedure

IMT CDL grading is based on semester exams and assignments. Assignments are worth 30 points and the semester exam is worth 70 points. To complete the course, students must obtain at least 40 points (sum of points for the semester exam and the semester exam)

The Term End Examination will include exercises or problem-solving cases and objective-type questions.

At the end of each semester, students must submit assignments. Only candidates who have submitted the assignments can write the exams.

Students must score at least 25 points in the semester exam to be declared a pass. All students must submit a project-based dissertation at the end of the fourth semester.

Selection process

Selection for the various programs of the IMT-Centre of Distance Education takes place based on an examination by the selection committee.

Admission to the two-year (PGDM) program is through an entrance test.

IMT-CDL conducts the entrance test at its headquarters and the results are released after a week at IMT CDL headquarters and on its official website.

Although, if you meet any of the criteria below, you are exempt from the entrance test:

An entrance test is not required for admission to one-year diploma courses.

The maximum time to complete any course is twice the number of years of normal length.
