Multitude Pathways to Saskatchewan Through SINP

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) created by the Federal Government of Canada and is supervised by the province of Saskatchewan.
As Canada’s most economically diverse province, Saskatchewan has a substantial immigrant population. The province can nominate applicants to the government under several categorized plans:
- International Skilled Worker Category
- Saskatchewan Experience Category
- Business and Farming Category
International Skilled Worker
Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker is an immigration category of the SINP, a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) operated by the province of Saskatchewan. This is the immigration pathway for those applicants who want to move to Saskatchewan as a killed worker. There are three sub-classes of Saskatchewan International Skilled Workers that are available for foreign nationals who have skilled work experience or who meet the unique needs and requirements of Saskatchewan’s labor market.
The International Skilled Worker (ISW) class is categorized into three sub-classes namely-
- Employment Offer Category
The first division within the International Skilled workers is the Employment Offer Category. It will work the best for those immigrants who:
- Scored at least 60 points according to the point assessment grid.
- Have at least a year of work experience in the past ten years. This experience should preferably be in the same occupation or something that is closest to it.
- Scored at least CLB 4 in the language assessment. Some regulators may ask for scores that are above CLB 4.
- Have an offer for a full-time job in Saskatchewan, a valid SINP Job Approval is asked as proof of verification.
- Express Entry Category
Skilled workers who:
- Do not have a job offer in Saskatchewan. It will work the best for those semi-skilled people as it will give them the opportunity to move to this province first and then look out for the employment.
- Have a score of at least CLB 4 in the language assessment. It can be in either of the two official languages of Canada, English or French.
- Have a working experience of a minimum of one year.
- Are in the immigration express entry pool.
- Occupation In-Demand Category
Skilled workers who:
- Have a minimum of CLB 4 in language assessment
- To be eligible for this stream, the applicants should mandatorily be highly skilled in an in-demand specialization.
- Have documents of at least a year of education after schooling.
- Must score at least 60 points out of 100 in the assessment.
Saskatchewan Experience
As part of the SINP, a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) operated by Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Experience category provides a variety of immigration classes. Saskatchewan Experience offers five immigration sub-classes for immigrants with prior work experience from a Saskatchewan employer and a valid job offer for permanent employment in Saskatchewan.
Saskatchewan Experience class is categorized into three sub-classes namely-
- Skilled Worker With Existing Work Permit
Employees who:
- Have worked in Saskatchewan for at least six months with a permit.
- Have a permanent job offer from a provincial employer according to the NOC skill type A, B, or 0, or a designated trade.
- Have a CLB 4 score if the job is in NOC skill type C or D designated trade.
- Semi-skilled Agriculture Worker with Existing Work Permit
Employees who:
- Semi-skilled Agriculture Worker with Existing Work Permit
- Have worked in Saskatchewan for at least six months with a valid work permit.
- Received a permanent job offer from a Saskatchewan employer.
- Obtained a minimum CLB 4 if the job offer is in the NOC skill type C occupation
- Completed the equivalent of Canadian secondary school (high school) or higher, along with an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA). There is need and importance of ECA because the educational system followed in a country varies from the one followed in the other. Hence, ECA is the tool which equalizes the educational qualification of one country with the other.
- Health Professionals Category
Program requirements vary according to a person’s occupation and a job offer:
If you are a physician
For getting a permit, one must:
- Have a permit issued by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
- Have six months of experience in the physician stream.
- Have a full-time job offer that is issued by a provincial authority.
- Have a degree equivalent to a Canadian medical degree.
If you are a nurse
To qualify, one must:
- Have a permit issued by IRCC.
- Have six months of experience in the nurse stream.
- Have a full-time job offer from Saskatchewan Authority, Saskatchewan Cancer Authority, and by a health employer.
Other Health Professionals
To qualify, one must:
- Have a permit issued by IRCC.
- Have been working full-time as a health professional in Saskatchewan for a minimum of six months.
- Have a full-time job offer from the Saskatchewan Authority, the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, and a health employer.
- Have a minimum of CLB 4 language score if the job offer falls in NOC skill type C occupation.
- Hospitality Sector Project
Employees who:
- Have an approval by IRCC through Labor Market Impact Assessment (LIMIA) according to NOC skill type listing.
- Have completed at least Senior High School or equivalent.
- Have worked for the employer who is offering the job in Saskatchewan for six months minimum duration.
- Have at least CLB 4 or higher in the official language for all the abilities i.e.-

- Writing
- Long-Haul Truck Driver Project
Employees who:
- Have been working for a nominee program-approved truck company for at least six months on a provisional work permit. The permit should be accredited by IRCC.
- Have a provincial government-approved driver’s license which is Class 1A driver’s license.
- Have a full-time, regular job offer from the employer. The employer must have an approved truck company in Saskatchewan.
- Have at least CLB 4 or higher language assessment score in all the abilities i.e-

- Saskatchewan Students Category

- Have graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution in Saskatchewan with:

- Have worked a minimum of six months on paid employment in Saskatchewan

- Have a minimum of CLB 4 score in language assessment if the job offer falls in the NOC type C profession.
Business and Farming Category
Saskatchewan Business and Farming is a part of the immigration classes of SINP. It encompasses two sub-classes that target immigrants seeking to invest significant amounts of capital in present-day businesses in Saskatchewan.

The Saskatchewan Entrepreneur is designed to target experienced business owners or senior business managers who want to live in Saskatchewan.

- Have a minimum of three years of business management work experience gained in the past ten years.

The Saskatchewan Farm Owners and Operators are designed to target experienced farm owners and operators who are willing to control a farm in Saskatchewan.
To be eligible, one should have:
- Available Equity
- Refundable Cash Deposit
- Frequent visits to Saskatchewan
